A very good looking woman walks to the front of the room and undresses, exposing her nice firm buttocks. The start of a scene? No, the start of the very informative and erotic program by Reba on Corporal Punishment. Reba has been a professional dominatrix for a number of years and has administered many, many spankings and is very knowledgeable on the subject. Reba explained that tonight’s program is not necessary on Corporal Punishment but will concentrate in Over the Knee (OTK) Spankings, the use of the Strap, the Paddle, and finally the cane. Reba has a subtle sense of humor which she used throughout the program.

Reba started out by using Susan as a model to demonstrate the safe and good places to hit and the bad, or unsafe places to hit. Reba prefers to hit mostly in the region where the buttocks joins the back of the thighs and usually uses an upward motion to hit that portion of the buttocks that points downward. Other areas that are considered safe are the backs of the thighs and the middle of the back but Reba cautioned about hitting the back of the knees are the back in the area of the kidneys. She also cautioned that you need to know where the end of the instrument is going to hit to avoid possible "wrap" and hitting an area unintended or even unsafe to hit.

Negotiations are as important for corporal punishment as any other aspect of BDSM. For some, the turn-on is the excitement of the spanking such as setting the scene, role play, the bending over the top’s knee and not necessary the pain of the punishment itself, but for some it is the pain that is the turn- on. The Top and bottom need to discuss the instrument(s) to be used and, if known, the pain tolerance of the bottom. Reba suggested not gagging a person who you have not played with before so they can use safe words if needed. As a spanking is an exchange of energy, Reba strongly suggested watching the body language to help gauge the amount and severity of the spanking the bottom wants and can handle. Obviously if the bottom is arching their back to meet the spank, more might be appropriate.

Reba next used Linda to demonstrate the OTK spanking. Reba likes to cup her hand and advised against using the wrist to hit as you could cause injury. She strengthens her hands by clapping a lot, as Reba said at any event she leads the standing ovations to practice clapping. During the actual spanking Reba alternated hitting the cheeks but it is also fun to vary the pace. Position can also change the intensity, if the skin is tight, the spanking tends to hurt more. That is why back in high school (for some of us old timers), they made you bend over and grab your ankles before administering the paddle, the pain is greater. Rubbing the area can prolong the sensation, something Reba does a lot. Throughout the evening, Reba would rub the buttocks of every person she hit. After giving Linda, Reba proved that you can cause bruises with a open hand spanking as Linda’s buttocks were bright red and bruised.

Gary was the demonstrate for the strap. Straps come in many styles, from the old barber shop razor sharpening strap to a custom made one by a leather crafter. Each strap has its own unique sound and sting. Straps come with a variety of handle types, the best type is a matter of personal preference. Reba strongly suggested a spanking warm-up prior to the strap, even if the bottom doesn’t want one as the strap is intensive. Reba also stated that the strap will bruise so be cautious if bruising has not been negotiated! During the demonstration Reba pointed out that she uses two hands to use the strap with her left hand holding the hitting end of the strap while she swings with the right. She likes it better this way when asked why. The strap is one of Reba’s favorite toys because she loves the sound the strap makes. Reba then used a variety of straps on Gary so the audience could hear the difference in sounds. Reba also suggested that if the bottom knows in advance how many strokes they are to receive, they can usually take the sensation better. This portion of the program ending with Reba allowing three members of the audience experience the strap.

The next portion of the program was on the Paddle with Reba using Duane, dressed as a schoolboy, to demonstrate the paddle. Paddles come is all shapes, sizes, type of wood, etc and each is a matter of personal preference. Holes in the paddle allow air to pass through the paddle and in turn, allows one to swing it faster. During the demonstration, Duane’s buttocks immediately turned red and Duane tended to jump whenever Reba hit the sweet spot of the line between the buttocks and thighs. Again several volunteers from the audience were allowed to feel the sensation of being paddled.

The final portion of the program was the Cane. The Cane is probably the most intense, it will bruise, leave marks, and can draw blood. Reba informed us that the HIV virus cannot live on the cane but the hepatitis virus can for up to 10 days. She suggested either using a cane on one person only or cleaning the cane and letting sit for over 10 days between different users. The shorter canes are easier to handle and a beginner is best to use a short cane. Reba used Bobby to demonstrate the cane on because Bobby can "leave his body when the pain gets too great" so he can take a lot of pain. The cane hurts. Care must be used to avoid hitting the unsafe areas, particularly the backs of the knees and the kidneys. Buttocks and thighs are the best areas to use the cane.

The program ended with Reba demonstrating the cane on a couple of volunteers. During the course of the evening it was interesting to see the different tolerance levels between the volunteers. Reba seemed to use about the same intensity of each but some volunteers barely jumped while others jumped or moaned a lot.

Reba gave a very well attended program, over 80 people in the audience that will be remembered by all who attended for a long time to come. Thanks Reba.
