In the social hour before the program, another member commented on how amazing Cassandra's toy bag was and asked me if I didn't think so, too. Not having seen Cassandra's bag before, I didn't have an opinion, but following her recent program on Sharps, I would definitely have to agree that Cassandra packs quite a bag of tricks.

In much the same way a magician pulls endless colored scarves out of his pocket, Cassandra seemed to keep pulling things out of her bag. By the time she was done, she had filled two tables with all manner of sharp and/or poking toys. Cassandra, a ProDomme for twenty years, made it clear that she was not showing us all the possibilities. Her goal was to stimulate the imagination, not just as far as using what she shared with us, but also in getting us to look at many of life's mundane things with a slightly tweaked perspective.

Arranged by where they were obtained, the first category included the traditional BDSM toy stores. However, as the inventory continued, it was clear that the equipment for sharp play was everywhere. Several items came from nature, including burs, berry bushes, and holly. Specialty stores or the equivalent department at discount chains were a bonanza of things. Kitchen gadgets, pet shops, craft stores, toy stores, hardware shops, music stores, health and beauty aids, sporting goods, and medical supplies all had something to offer. A few that seem worth special mention for their originality are a kayak glove, no skid plastic runners for putting overtop carpet, and an electric toothbrush. Of note was a collection she had accumulated from the gift shop of a well known local aquarium south of San Francisco. Her collection from there included dolphin hair clips, a plastic nubbed blowfish, a rather sharp-snouted swordfish, shark teeth, and a set of shark jaws that seemed nature-made to hold various body parts.

The list of toys in Cassandra's magic bag is quite lengthy, and space restrictions keep me from listing all of them here. It was an interesting evening, and as far as stimulating the imagination, Cassandra was more than successful. Suffice it to say, though, that I shall never look the same way again at an egg top remover, ice pick, corkscrew, frozen meat saw, fondue fork, h'ors d'ouvres pick, corn-on-the-cob holders, chip clips, plastic silverware, toothpicks, skewers, wire brush, rolling meat tenderizer, potato rack, meat hook, tomato slicer, horse shampooer, currying mitt, plastic dog brush, tail groomer, tracing wheel, blueprint wheel, hat pin, curtain hook, shower curtain hooks, sofa coasters, threat, embroidery hoop, sweater pill remover, pocket comb, toilet brush, nose hair trimmer, comb cleaner, scissors, hair brush, razor, tweezers, kiln holder, tool engraver, fishing line tender, fishing hooks, fishing weights.........
